Day 3, Kiruna-Abisko



On the third day, we visited the Ice Hotel. It was very snowy outside and we were all still a bit weary from the day before.








After the Ice Hotel, we stopped Resjön to meet up with a reindeer farmer of Sami descent who taught us about Sami heritage and culture. We fed the reindeer and sat inside a traditional Sami hut, and ate smoked reindeer and drank reindeer stock, a traditional Sami winter soup. 

It was so, so cold outside. We were shivering, even with our multiple layers. Going inside the hut was the most incredible feeling, and we ran to the bus as soon as it was time to leave.
