My posts about the Scanbalt trip will go along with the itinerary they gave us. On Day 1, we drove and we drove and we drove and we drove and my butt hurt and my neck hurt and my back hurt but in the morning we made it to Kiruna. 09:00 Göteborg, Shell gas station between Nils Ericsson bus terminal and the river.
I listened to almost all of the podcast Serial and thanked every deity I've heard of for the invention of the neck pillow.
Here's something I wrote on the bus:
Hour 8 on the bus to Kiruna is sliding by. I'm listening to Serial, a podcast I anticipated heavily, but haven't yet listened to because I don't drive here, and driving is my much loved and missed NPR time. My relationship with NPR has been shaky since I've gotten here as I've been unwilling to "make time." I've been missing it so much. It feels good to catch up and breath in the beautiful audio quality. To everyone to whom I've claimed I "listen to Serial" - now you can know I'm telling the truth but all those times before it was maybe a stretch (read: I only listened to the first episode and getting caught up entailed finishing season one).
