I left for Stockholm from Boston at 9:00 PM and slept for most of the flight. When I sat down on the plane, I was surprised by my friend Holly, another UMass student studying at Uppsala this semester. We arrived at Arlanda International Airport around 1:00 PM the next day. Uppsala University arranged to have shuttle buses to take us to the International Students Welcome Reception, where we would receive our room keys and information about our accommodation. Another shuttle bus then took us to our housing, and by that time it was around 7:00 PM local time. I hastily unpacked my quilt which I had brought from home, and went right to sleep.
